City public, parochial schools closed

Philadelphia's public and Archdiocesan schools are closed today because of the weather.

Both school systems had waited until this morning to make the announcement.

Outside of the city, many schools also are closed and others have delayed openings. Some apparently are still slated to open on time or have not yet decided what they will do.

New Jersey government offices are opening two hours late.
