South Jersey teacher charged with cruelty in alleged assault of middle school student
The incident happened on Feb. 9 at Belhaven Middle School in Linwood.
A female music teacher at a South Jersey middle school was arrested and charged last month with assaulting a student, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's office says.
The incident happened on Feb. 9 at Belhaven Middle School in Linwood.
Prosecutors said Thursday that 40-year-old Kimberley M. Pesci allegedly used her leg to tilt a student's chair, knocking the 12-year-old boy backward onto the floor. The boy hit his head in the fall, prosecutors said.
Pesci, of Galloway Township, was charged five days later with cruelty, neglect, and simple assault.
