Four Philly police officers injured in head-on collision

Four Philadelphia police officers were injured this morning when two cruisers collided head-on in North Philadelphia.

Both vehicles were en route shortly before 3 a.m. to a report of a shooting when they struck each other at 22nd Street and Montgomery Avenue. A police spokeswoman said four officers had been riding in one of the vehicles, and two were in the second cruiser.

The injured officers were transported to Temple University Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
