Gloucester Twp. cops looking for owners of stolen decorations
Police in South Jersey are trying to find the owners of holiday and lawn decorations after a stash of stolen items was discovered when a woman was arrested last week for thefts from two houses.
Gloucester Township police said numerous items taken from homes in the Blackwood Estates and surrounding areas were recovered after Jeanette Montanez was taken into custody for allegedly stealing Christmas decorations and lawn ornaments from homes on Dearborne Avenue.
Near the 47-year-old's Sewell home, police said they found other snatched decorations hidden in a wooded area.
Police said this week that not all of the items had been returned, and officials are trying to find the decorations' owners.
Photos of the items, which include autumn-themed decorations, welcome signs, animal lawn ornaments and others, have been posted on the department's Pinterest page.
