Infant and suspect in Mercer County homicide case found after alert issued

Pennsylvania State Police have canceled an Amber Alert reporting the abduction today of 8-month-old Ariella Downs, from Sharpsville, Mercer County. Police report the child and the suspect, Antonio Velazquez-Rupert, 36, are now in custody. The man is also a suspect in a homicide in Sharpsville. Further details were not available early Saturday evening.
