15-year-old arrested in sexual assault in Germantown

A 15-year-old male was arrested over the weekend in connection with one of the two recently reported sexual assaults in Germantown after a victim identified him as he walked down the street, police said.

Police said the victim spotted her alleged attacker on Friday while driving with her family and then notified police.

The teen will be charged with rape, sexual assault, attempted robbery, unlawful restraint, making terroristic threats, indecent exposure, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and indecent assault, police said.

The boy, who is not being identified because he's a juvenile, will not be charged as an adult, according to Officer Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman.

Police reported three attacks last week that occurred on the 5400 block of Wakefield Street and the 400 block of East Locust Avenue.
