Loco Pez restaurant held up at gunpoint

Police are searching for a masked man wielding a shotgun who robbed the Loco Pez restaurant early this morning in Fishtown.

The incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. at the popular spot on the 200 block of E. Norris Street, according to police.  A black male wearing a face mask, sunglasses and a tan jacket entered.  He pointed a shotgun and demanded money from remaining workers.

It was not clear how many people were inside at the time. The suspect fled with an unspecified amount of cash. No one was injured.

"Thank you all for the support," read a message posted on Loco Pez's Twitter account this morning. "So relieved that everyone is OK. A terrifying situation for sure."
