Man found burying body in Frankford

A man was found burying a body in the backyard of a Frankford home earlier this morning and then was immobilized by a Taser after he struggled with police, authorities said.

A patrol officer was flagged down and brought to the the rear yard of a building on the 4700 block of Frankford Avenue just before noon Tuesday, according to Tanya Little, a police spokeswoman.

Upon arrival, the officer found the body of an unidentified woman half-buried and the man hovering nearby holding a shovel, Little said.

When the man was approached by police, a struggle ensued and the patrol officer brought the man down with a Taser, Little said.

The man's relationship to the woman is unknown. He was arrested and taken into custody.
