Man shot, robbed was not leaving SugarHouse

A man who was abducted, duct-taped, shot and robbed late Sunday night was not driving home from SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia as originally believed, according to police.

The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.

The man was shot on the 4900 block of Springfield Avenue and then abducted, according to Southwest Detectives. He was then taken to Northeast Philadelphia, where he was shot again and dumped, police said.

The victim was found in the city's Rhawnhurst section at Summerdale Avenue and Oakmont Street, about 10 miles north of the casino.

The man was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale campus.  He survived the shootings but his condition was not immediately available.

Police did not have descriptions of the suspects.
