Motorcyclist killed in West Oak Lane crash

A man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV in West Oak Lane Saturday morning.

The motorcyclist was driving north on Broad Street near Haines Street shortly after 11:30 a.m., when he struck a black 2003 Buick traveling east on Haines, police said.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. He wasn't immediately identified.

The driver of the Buick remained at the scene after the crash, police said. There wasn't word on whether charges were expected to be filed.

Police were continuing to investigate Saturday.
