NBC10 Weather: Wintry mix on Monday

The record high has been officially broken in Philly, but a wintry mix is forecast to fall Monday night into Tuesday.

The record high has been officially broken in Philly. And right now we have tied in Wilmington, Atlantic City – those will most likely be broken once the highs for the day have come in this evening. Just going by current numbers.

Otherwise we have clouds. And light rain has moved into some of our northwest zones.

For the rest of the evening, expect more light rain. The rain will move out overnight and the colder air will move in. Highs Monday will be in the mid-40s.

The cold air will set the stage for wintry weather (sleet, snow and freezing rain) to fall Monday night into Tuesday morning. A winter weather advisory is posted for parts of the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday. This looks to be all rain for the city and southeast.

Rain will taper to showers Tuesday with a high in the upper 50s.

More showers return late Wednesday.
