Three emaciated pit bulls were rescued from a West Oak Lane home on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
Humane law enforcement officers obtained a search warrant for the home on the 7000 block of Sommers Road after receiving a complaint, a PSPCA spokeswoman said in a news release.
Officers cited 23-year-old Anthony Wall with two summary counts of animal cruelty for allegedly confining the dogs in unsanitary conditions and failing to provide them with veterinary care.
All three dogs were taken to the PSPCA's Erie Avenue shelter for veterinary checks and treatment, the organization said.
