Parveen: Rainy Thursday, colder weekend

Thursday morning will start with showers moving in. New Jersey and Delaware have the highest chances for the heavier rain during the morning commute.

Through lunch time, rain will increase in coverage, with heaviest areas mainly in New Jersey and Delaware. Most of this should leave the area by the evening commute, but we still could see some lingering light showers then. Highs will top out around 57 degrees. Some rain totals could end up around 1 to 1.5 inches in the heavier showers.

Friday will be drier, windy, and colder. Highs around 49 degrees.

Saturday will be the coldest day, with highs only around 39 and windy! The wind will make it feel colder too. Partly cloudy skies are expected. This will be the only day where temperatures will actually be below normal. The normal high is 44 now.

Sunday won't be as windy and highs will be around 47.

And the next warm-up begins with Monday. We'll have highs near 60 to start the week, then warming to the mid 60s by Wednesday with rain showers. Too warm still for snow. We could break some record highs Christmas week.
