Parveen: Unseasonably warm start to December

A cold front will move through in the overnight hours, at which point a strong northwest wind will move in. Thursday, it will be windy and cooler with more sun.

Winds could gust as high as 35 mph from the northwest, and this could bring in some snowflakes for the Poconos or Lehigh Valley in the morning. This would be from lake-effect snow showers.

With the cooler air mass moving in, highs will top out around 51 to 54 degrees Thursday. The "normal" high is 49 this time of the year. A dry pattern starts to set up, and will last through the weekend.

Friday, it will be sunny and nice. Morning lows in the mid-to-upper 30s; afternoon highs around 54.

Saturday will be sunny with a cold start, with lows around the upper 30s; afternoon highs will be a bit milder, around 58.

Sunday will be around 60 and mostly sunny.

Next week, more clouds move in as our next weather system approaches. We will start next week near 60, then our rain chances will increase Tuesday.

Temperatures will stay above normal the next seven days, which is an unseasonably warm start for the month of December.
