Police are looking for a trio of bandits who were caught on camera robbing a nail salon in Tacony. Investigators said two of the men are also suspects in the robbery three days later of a Hunting Park beauty shop.

Police said the first incident happened around 7:20 p.m. last Friday. Three men burst into the Mayfair Nail Salon at 4200 Cottman Ave. and announced a robbery.

Two suspects pulled out handguns and began walking from table to table, taking money and cell phones from employees and customers, according to investigators. Police said one man stood by the door and acted as a lookout, preventing a woman and her child from leaving.

The men allegedly fled on foot with three cell phones and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said two of those suspects struck again around 3 p.m. Monday inside Wild & Crazy Beauty Supply at 4326 N. Broad St.

One suspect pointed a handgun at an employee and demanded money from the cash registers while the second suspect walked behind the counter and emptied the money into a white plastic store bag, according to investigators.

Police said both suspects fled on foot after taking $310 in cash.

The suspects are described as three black males in their 20s. In the most recent incident, one of the suspects had a stocky build and a beard, while the second sported a goatee.

Anyone with information on either crime is asked to contact Philadelphia police by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477) or by texting PPD TIP (773847).
