Reports: 2 dead, 3 wounded in overnight shootings

Detectives in Philadelphia say they are investigating a fatal shooting early this morning in North Philadelphia that left another man wounded, and another separate fatal shooting Sunday night in Kensington.

In today's shooting, detectives say a man in his 30s was gunned down at 2nd and Somerset Streets in North Philadelphia about 2 a.m.  A second man was hospitalized with gunshot wounds to his legs.

No further information was available and police said they were hoping surveillance footage might yield clues.

The separate, unrelated triple shooting occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday night and left one 19-year old dead, and a man and woman sitting on a front step wounded, according to 6ABC.

Chief Inspector Scott Small told the news crew that many shell casings were found near the victim's body, indicating he was shot at close range.

The identities of the victims in both shootings have not yet been released.
