One man was shot and another stabbed earlier this afternoon during a brawl inside a Chinese takeout restaurant in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.

The fight, which broke out just before 4 p.m., started after two men walked into the Asian Cusine, on the 5500 block of Lindbergh Boulevard, and met a group already inside, police said.

As the sides began airing unsettled grievances from a previous disagreement, one man pulled out a knife and stabbed a 20-year-old man multiple times, police said.

The knife-wielding man, who cut himself in the right during the altercation, was shot twice in the abdomen by a third man, police said.

Seeking treatment for his gunshot wound, the knife-wielding man was dropped off at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania by an unknown party. He has since been transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for further treatment.
