Three shot in Southwest Philadelphia; one in critical condition

A shooting on the 5400 block of Paschall Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia left three men hospitalized, one of them in critical condition.

A shooting late Wednesday morning in Southwest Philadelphia left three men hospitalized, one of them in critical condition.

Gunfire erupted shortly before 11:30 a.m. on the 5400 block of Paschall Avenue, according to investigators.

Police said a 20-year-old man was shot once in his right forearm. A second victim, 19, was shot once in his lower left leg, and a third man, 21, was shot once in his left shoulder, according to authorities.

All three victims were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where the 21-year-old was placed in critical condition. The other two men were hospitalized in stable condition.

A weapon was recovered from the scene, but no arrest was made, police said. A possible motive for the crime was not immediately disclosed.
