West Philadelphia shooting leaves 2 dead, 1 injured
Police are investigating an overnight shooting in West Philadelphia that left two men dead and one injured.
Philadelphia police said the incident happened on the 1200 block of North 52nd Street at about 1:25 a.m.
Officers were called to the area for a report of gunshots, and found the three men on the street, suffering from gunshot wounds.
All three were taken to hospitals, where two were pronounced dead. The third remains in critical condition. Their identities were not immediately released.
One of the slain men was shot in the chest; the other in the head, police said.
Authorities believe an argument sparked the shooting, but a precise motive isn't known.
No one has been arrested, and no description of a potential suspect was available.
