The sky between Camden and Philadelphia will glow with firework displays to usher in the new year - twice. The "early bird" show begins at 6 p.m. while the traditional display arrives at midnight.

The shows, which are free, along the Delaware River waterfront are the result of a cross-city partnership between Camden and Philadelphia. Penn's Landing and the Camden Waterfront will be presented by SugarHouse Casino and produced by Pyrotecnico.

The shows will be feature different musical soundtracks.

"The Camden Waterfront offers a great vantage point to watch the fireworks display with the Philadelphia skyline as a magnificent background," Anthony Perno, chief executive of Cooper's Ferry Partnership, said in statement. "We encourage everyone on the Jersey side of the river to come to Camden and join in the festivities."

Visitors on both waterfronts will be able to hear the synchronized musical soundtracks accompanying the fireworks.
