Police today identified the two people killed in a firey South Jersey car crash over the weekend as a Gloucester County corrections officer and his neighbor.
Joshua Reynolds, 26, and Katrina Pentek, 26, both of Elk Township, were killed in a one-car crash early Sunday on Bridgeton Pike, said Lt. Walter Garrison of the Elk Township police. Reynolds had worked for the county jail for three years, a fellow corrections officer said.
Reynolds was southbound on Bridgeton Pike when his Volkswagen Jetta veered off the road, struck a utility pole and burst into flames. Reynolds and Pentek were trapped inside the flaming vehicle and died before rescue crews arrived, Garrison said.
