Down power lines clog Rt. 422
The westbound lanes of Route 422 were blocked from the Schuylkill Expressway/Rt. 202 ramp to the Oaks Exit at Rt. 363 for nearly four hours this morning. Down power lines near the Oaks Exit brought traffic to crawl for the better part of the morning drive.

Police forced westbound drivers to make a U-turn across the grass medium and detour by way of Trooper Road.
The eastbound lanes of Rt. 422 were also jammed from Pottstown to the Oaks exit. The left lane was closed, and only the right lane of eastbound traffic was getting by.
