Man stabbed to death in Delran, wife held

The wife of a Delran man was arrested early this morning in connection with his fatal stabbing, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.

The body of Eric J. Cole was discovered by police in the kitchen of an apartment in the Hunters Glen Apartments in Delran, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Delran Township Police responded to a 9-1-1 call just before 2 a.m. reporting a stabbing at the apartment complex on Route 130.

Police discovered the Cole, 29, lying on the floor in the kitchen of the apartment. He had been stabbed in the neck and was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Kesi C. Cole, 25, the wife of the victim, has been arrested and charged with the murder of her husband.

Investigators, working with the U.S. Department Immigration and Customs Enforcement, have confirmed that the defendant is an illegal immigrant and a native of Trinidad.

Cole was processed and transported to the Burlington County Minimum Security Jail for women located in Pemberton, N.J. Bail was set at $750,000.

According to Prosecutor's Office, the victim and his wife got into argument. During the dispute, the couple entered the kitchen of the apartment where the victim was stabbed once in the neck by his wife. Kesi Cole then called 9-1-1 and reported the stabbing.
