Cops nab Bucks County Prison escapee

A man who escaped from the Bucks County Prison last weekend was captured yesterday in Northeast Philadelphia he was riding on a SEPTA bus.

A man who escaped from the Bucks County Prison last weekend was captured yesterday in Northeast Philadelphia he was riding on a SEPTA bus.

Frank Edward Neisser, 45, of Philadelphia was apprehended by Bensalem and Bucks County police after he was recognized by a person on the street.

Neisser was boarding a bus at Academy and Byberry Roads just after 1 p.m. when he was recognized by an unidentified person. The person then called 911.

Authorities said Neisser offered no resistance when we was caught at Red Lion and Academy Roads.

Neisser was returned to Bucks County Prison, where he will face charges of escape as well as the charges for which he was originally incarcerated.

Neisser had been in custody since Oct. 30 on forgery charges. He was the subject of a man hunt since last Saturday night, when he scaled two fences lined with razor wire.
