A man was shot in the face and killed Monday morning in the 5300 block of Delancey Street in West Philadelphia, bringing the number of homicides for the year in the city to 390, a police spokesman said.

Police responding to a 911 call found the victim shot in the head. Fire department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

An autopsy was pending but it appeared that the victim, who was identified as 40-year-old Tyrone Coleman of the 5200 block of Pine Street, may have been dead for at least an hour when he was found, police said.

Police said they did not have a motive for the shooting and had no suspects.
