Two dead in West Phila. shooting

Two men were gunned down shortly before noon near the intersection of 50th and Market Streets in West Philadelphia, police said.

Gunfire erupted at 11:52 a.m. on the first block of North St. Bernard Street.

A man in his late 30s was shot in the upper chest. Another man, in his late 20s, was shot multiple times in the neck, police siad.

Both men were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where they were pronounced dead about 20 minutes after the shooting, police said.
