A truck fire on southbound I-95, just south of the Philadelphia-Bucks County line, led to the closing of at least two lanes for more than an hour.

As of 1:45 p.m., only one lane was eking past the scene, near Convent Avenue north of Academy Road.

It was at least the third accident in that area to shut down a major highway today.

Northbound traffic on I-95 was backed up for miles at 7:30 a.m. after a multi-vehicle accident near Woodhaven Road in Bensalem.

Just before 8 a.m., PennDOT traffic cams showed two vehicles being loaded for removal from the scene.

Jammed with rush-hour traffic, the highway came to a standstill all the way to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge.

A little farther north in Bristol Township, the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike was closed by a tractor-trailer accident that happened before 6 a.m.

The right lane was blocked for more than two hours as workers continued cleaning up debris and a fuel spill.

The accident happened just west of the Delaware Valley Exit, No. 358 at Route 13. It is the first exit in Pennsylvania out of New Jersey.

No injuries were reported.
