Section of Northeast Extension closed this weekend
A large section of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed for part of the weekend so workers can remove sections of bridges at Kriebel and Bethel Roads.
A large section of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed for part of the weekend so workers can remove sections of bridges at Kriebel and Bethel Roads.
The closure will encompass all traffic between the Mid-county Exit (No. 20) and the Lansdale Exit (No. 31) between the hours of 12:01 and 6 a.m. Sunday
Preparations for the closure will begin Saturday night, with traffic being restricted to one southbound lane at 9 p.m. and one northbound lane at 11 p.m.
Turnpike Commission workers and State Police will be at the Lansdale, Mid-County and Norristown Interchanges to assist motorists. More information on the closure the project hotline is available 24 hours a day at 1-877-855-2545.
