3 GOP U.S. Senate candidates debate in N.J.

The three Republican candidates for U.S. Senate will debate tonight in Trenton, just two weeks before the New Jersey primary election.

The three Republican candidates for U.S. Senate will debate tonight in Trenton, just two weeks before the New Jersey primary election.

State Sen. Joseph Pennacchio, Ramapo College professor Murray Sabrin and former U.S. Rep. Dick Zimmer will face off at 8 p.m. The debate will air live on NJN and will be rebroadcast Saturday, May 24, at 9:30 a.m.

The three candidates running for the Democratic nomination in the June 3 election are incumbent U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg, U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews and Morristown Mayor Donald Cresitello. Those three will debate May 30 at 8 p.m., also on NJN.

The debates are co-sponsored by NJN, the Inquirer and the Gannett New Jersey Newspaper Group.
