Nice weekend weather for city, Shore

After possible scattered showers today, the forecast looks like mostly clear skies and warming temperatures for the Memorial Day weekend.

After possible scattered showers today, the forecast looks like mostly clear skies and warming temperatures for the Memorial Day weekend.

With today's high only in the mid 60s, temperatures should gradually rise, with Sunday hitting the high 70s and Memorial Day reaching the mid 80s in Philadelphia.

Mid 70s are normal for late May.

The Shore will be cooler, with highs tomorrow and Saturday in the upper 60s, Sunday and Monday in the 70s.

Ocean temperatures near the shoreline should be in the mid to upper 50s.

By Tuesday, rain returns to the forecast, though the high in the city could again be in the mid 80s.

Don't expect any records to be challenged, because the historic highs for Monday and Tuesday are in the mid 90s.

By Wednesday, cooler temperatures are predicted to return.
