IDs on victims in two Phila. shootings

Police this morning identified two men who were killed last night in separate Philadelphia shootings that occurred minutes apart.

Robert Battle, 30, was reported shot in the head and right hand at 7:15 p.m. while he was sitting in a blue Buick in the 1300 block of Green Street, near Broad and Spring Garden Streets, police said.

Battle, who lived in the 3800 block of Sydenham Street in Hunting Park, was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m.

Korey Anderson, 29, was shot in the head and chest at 7:24 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Boston Street in North Philadelphia, police said.

Anderson, of the 2400 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue, was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:49 p.m.

No arrests were reported in either case.
