LANCASTER - A Pennsylvania funeral director has been ordered to stand trial on charges that he beat and drowned his wife.
A district judge from Stevens today ordered 41-year-old Michael Roseboro to stand trial on homicide and other counts.
Roseboro is co-director of a funeral home that his family has operated in Denver for decades. Prosecutors say he wanted to end his marriage to 45-year-old Jan Roseboro so he could be with another woman.
His mistress, Angela Funk, testified that the two talked about leaving their spouses just before Jan Roseboro's death in July. She said she worried that a divorce could cost him part of the business.
Roseboro's attorney has said his client tried to seek help and to revive his wife after finding her body at the bottom of the pool at their home in Reinholds.
