The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that it will open the new spur ramp early tomorrow morning to take Route 422 West drivers to Route 23 West in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. The new spur was built off the existing Route 422 West ramp to Route 23 East.

Weather permitting, PennDot said its contractor will open the new spur ramp before 6 a.m. Motorists may face a lane closure on westbound Route 422 as crews work from 9 o'clock tonight to 6 a.m. tomorrow to prepare to open the spur.

Starting tomorrow, westbound Route 422 motorists destined for Route 23 West will use this exit ramp and spur to reach a signal intersection at Route 23, where they will turn left to proceed west on Route 23.

PennDot will close and remove the existing loop ramp from Route 422 West to Route 23 West.
