2 Chesco students charged with delivering marijuana

NEWARK, Del. - New Castle County Police have charged four Pennsylvania college students, including two from Chester County, with delivering marijuana to an undercover officer posing as a college student.

NEWARK, Del. - New Castle County Police have charged four Pennsylvania college students, including two from Chester County, with delivering marijuana to an undercover officer posing as a college student.

The officer exchanged text messages with one student and police said Monday that she agreed to bring some marijuana to Delaware.

When the student and three of her friends went to Newark on Thursday, police said, they showed the officer a package of marijuana.

At that point police arrested Austin Klaus, 20, of Downingtown; Daniel Ward, 20, of Malvern; Hannah Carr, 19, of Bethlehem, and Sarah West, 19, of Bayonne, N.J.

All four are charged with delivery of marijuana, delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a vehicle for keeping a controlled substance, and conspiracy. Klaus and Ward are also charged with carrying a concealed deadly instrument.

Klaus, Carr and West are students at St. Joseph's University; Ward attends Temple University.
