ATLANTIC CITY - Two alleged leaders of an illegal multi-million dollar sports betting ring that operated out of a poker room at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa have pleaded guilty to making illegal loans and money laundering.

Andrew Micali of Ventnor was accused of leading the day-to-day operations of the ring. Jack Buscemi Jr. of Harrison Township in Gloucester County admitted possessing money from the illegal gambling ring.

Under terms of their plea deals with prosecutors, each could get five years in prison.

Two other lower-level participants also pleaded guilty Monday.

Authorities say the casino itself was not involved in the illegal ring.
