Shore prosecutor seeks ID for body found in blanket

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic County's prosecutor is hoping the public can identify a body killed execution-style and wrapped in a beige carpet.

MAYS LANDING, N.J. - Atlantic County's prosecutor is hoping the public can identify a body killed execution-style and wrapped in a beige carpet.

A deer hunter discovered the corpse off the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township last week.

Prosecutor Ted Housel said the white man is believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and between 200 and 250 pounds.

The victim also had very small, round ears.

The prosecutor said the hunter said the carpet was not in the woods when he first arrived on Dec. 8. He spotted it in the afternoon, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Authorities have not disclosed how the man died.

Dental records have proved useless because the man never had any work done on his teeth. Fingerprints have failed to yield a match.    -AP
