Fire ripped through a South Jersey home shortly before midnight yesterday, killing a Cinnaminson resident.
A neighbor identified the victim as John Brutosky, 44, a man who loved to work on cars.
Firefighters were called to the 1000 block of S. Fork Landing Road at 11:28 and found the home engulfed in flames.
The blaze was placed under control at 12:23 a.m.
"They put it out really fast," a Burlington County dispatcher said. "But there's still a lot of damage there."
"He was a good neighbor," said Mary Barbadoro, 80, who lives next door to Brutosky. She said Brutosky's father, Joseph, had lived in the house until he died in June.
"I miss the father," Barbadoro said. "I'll miss John now, too."
The fire is under investigation by fire marshals from Cinnaminson, Burlington County and the state.
