BARNEGAT LIGHT, N.J. - An iconic Jersey shore beach house, saved from the wrecking ball, is due to float away today to its new home on Long Island.

The so-called Lieb House, designed by famed architect Robert Venturi and his wife Denise Scott Brown, was lifted on a barge in Barnegat Light and workers prepared it for a 95-mile waterborne trip. It's due to arrive in Glen Cove, N.Y. on Friday.

New owners Deborah Sarnoff and Robert Gotkin plan to use it as a guest cottage. They already live in another house designed by the famed architects, and feel the two structures would be perfect together.

The price? One dollar. But it will cost an additional $100,000 to get it there.
