In December, Nuri Murray, 19, was arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a nail salon in Philadelphia. Shawn Davis, 21; Charon Humphrey, 18, and Rickey Phillips, 19, were arrested in connection with an attempted armed carjacking and an armed robbery of an Upper Darby restaurant.
Similar state charges against the four have been withdrawn because of the federal indictments, which were announced today.
Murray and Phillips now face a mandatory minimum of seven years in prison and fines; Davis and Humphrey face a mandatory minimum of 32 years in prison if convicted. - Mari A. Schaefer
