Angler’s empty boat leads to search in Bucks Co.

Park police and divers at Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County searched today for a man whose empty boat was found near a boat launch.

The man's family reported him missing three days ago, after he failed to return from a fishing trip in the park, Pennsylvania state police said.

The swamped boat was found this afternoon near the Haycock boat launch at the northern end of the park, off Route 563 just north of Top Rock Trail. A van and a trailer that belonged to the missing man were found in the parking lot at the launch, police said.

Volunteer divers searched for several hours before suspending their activities early this evening. The man's name was not released by police.
