The Feasterville mother who set off a multi-state search after claiming that she and her 9-year-old daughter were kidnapped was released today on $1 million bail.

Bonnie Sweeten, 38, was released from Bucks County Prison at about 5 p.m. She posted $100,000 in cash.

Louis R. Busico, her attorney, said tonight that Sweeten would be staying with "distant relatives" at an undisclosed location in Pennsylvania and would "begin mental health treatment next week." As a condition of her bail, Sweeten's visits with her children must be supervised, he said.

A hearing is scheduled for Thursday at magisterial court in Richboro, Busico said.

Sweeten was discovered Wednesday night with her daughter at Florida's Walt Disney World resort. She was returned to Pennsylvania on Friday and arraigned on misdemeanor charges of identity theft and false reporting.

Authorities say Sweeten phoned 911 on Tuesday from Center City, claiming she and her daughter had been carjacked and stuffed in the trunk of a Cadillac near her home.

The call touched off a frantic search that ended 30 hours later at an Orlando hotel.
