Body recovered from Lake Nockamixon

Divers today recovered the body of a missing fisherman from Lake Nockamixon in Bucks County, state police said.

The body was found about 12:30 p.m., police said. Police did not release the name of the fisherman, who was reported missing by his family last week when he failed to return from a fishing trip to Nockamixon State Park.

The Associated Press reported that the man was a 23-year-old Philadelphian, but did not provide a name.

The man's swamped boat was found Saturday afternoon near the Haycock boat launch at the northern end of the park, off Route 563 just north of Top Rock Trail.    - Christopher K. Hepp
