EMMAUS - The woman whose drunken-driving hit-run accident in 2000 seriously injured former Lehigh County executive and Pennsylvania House candidate Jane Baker is charged with suspicion of drunken driving.

Police say 53-year-old Judith Fulmer, of Upper Milford Township, was stopped by police in Emmaus on Thursday.

No details were released.

Fulmer's attorney, John Waldron of Allentown, confirmed the arrest but told The Morning Call of Allentown he had not seen the police documents and could not comment.

Fulmer pleaded guilty to two counts of drunken driving and a hit-and-run charge after striking Baker, who was walking home after her car broke down on April 4, 2000. The women had earlier shared dinner and drinks at a restaurant.    -AP
