Philadelphia police and the FBI are searching for an elderly man in a stickup at the Citizens Bank branch at 20th and Market Streets this morning.
The man was captured on security cameras entering the bank around 9:30 a.m. and presenting a threatening note to the teller. After putting the money into a pillowcase, he left the bank on foot and headed west on Market Street.
Officials described the bandit as a white man, between 60 and 65 years old, 5-feet 11-inches tall, thin and wearing a brown baseball cap with a logo, long-sleeve shirt, long pants and Timberland-style boots.
FBI spokesman J.J. Klaver said there is a possibility a dye pack included with the stolen money burst, staining the robber's skin or his clothes.
