A 29-year-old Moorestown man is being held in the Burlington County jail on charges of trying to kill his roommate with a Phillips head screw driver.

Fernando Lazaro-Martinez, of 531 Regenhard Avenue, was not able to post the $500,000 full bail set after he was charged yesterday with attempted murder and attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Officials say Lazaro-Martinez stabbed Miguel Junes, 32, in the left shoulder area with a Phillips head screwdriver and punched him in the face, causing fractures during an unspecified dispute.

Junes was reported in stable condition at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
