Two men were charged today in the North Philadelphia shootouts that left Officer Ashley Hoggard and three civilians injured over the weekend.
Dwayne Robinson, 23, of Langdon Street, was arrested about 10:15 a.m. and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and firearms offenses. Police believe he shot a man multiple times outside the Franchise Sports Bar and Grille early last Sunday morning. That man is hospitalized but expected to recover from his injuries, police said.
Police also charged Joseph Cebollero, 22, of Cambria Street, with obstruction of justice and violating the uniform firearms act. Police said Cebollero was seen inside the bar carrying a gun earlier that night. After Robinson shot the night's first victim, police said, he passed the weapon to Cebollero.
Hoggard, who was shot in the shoulder when he responded to the gunshots, remains hospitalized in good condition, police said today.
