A woman who was killed when her car was struck by an NJ Transit Atlantic City rail line train at a gated crossing in Camden County was identified this morning as a 79-year-old resident of Williamstown.
Officials are still investigating the incident that claimed the life of Diane Perry.
Perry was killed when the train hit her about 4:15 p.m. yesterday at the Betram Avenue crossing in Atco, Waterford Township.
No injuries were reported on the pasenger train.
Bill Weyman, who has lived up the street on Atco Avenue for 20 years, said he didn't hear the crash, but that another sound alerted him to trouble. "Whenever you hear them lean on the horn and they don't let up, you know something's happened," he said.
