Two teens slain in overnight shootings in W. Phila

Two teenagers were killed, one while riding a bicycle, and another wounded in separate West Philadelphia shootings overnight, according to police.

Two teenagers were killed, one while riding a bicycle, and another wounded in separate West Philadelphia shootings overnight, according to police.

Dead are 19-year-old Naim Wilson, of the 1200 block of South Wilton Street, and 16-year-old Troy Travis, of the 5500 block of Walton Avenue.

Wilson was found with gunshot wounds to the neck and back at the intersection of 51st Street and Chester Avenue around 11:04 last night, according to police. He was pronounced dead on location.

Tavis and an 18-year-old friend were shot while riding bikes on the 700 block of South 56th Street around 12:18 a.m., police said. Tavis was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.

His friendr was reported in sable condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania this morning with a gunshot wound to the right hand.

Police are investigating both shootings and looking for possible suspects.
