Failed carjacking ties ups traffic on Roosevelt Boulevard
Traffic was disrupted on Roosevelt Boulevard in Crescentville tonight as a man unsuccessfully attempted to carjack two vehicles, police said.
Traffic was disrupted on Roosevelt Boulevard in Crescentville tonight as a man unsuccessfully attempted to carjack two vehicles, police said.
The man, whose name and age was not available, threatened the drivers of two automobiles around 6:20 p.m. on the Boulevard at Langdon Street, police said.
The would-be carjacker was later arrested. He reportedly told the drivers that he had a gun, but no firearm has yet to be recovered, police said.
Police shut down two northbound lanes of the Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m. to process the crime scene.
