The Powerball jackpot keeps rising - and spreading big bucks in Pennsylvania.
No one hit all the numbers draw last night - 17, 37, 40, 51 and 56, with a Powerball of 25 - so Saturday's annuity jackpot will be worth about $111 million.
The alternative: $57.6 million in cash. Both figures, of course, are before taxes.
Six tickets, including two bought in Pennsylvania, won $200,000 each for having the first five numbers, but not the Powerball.
That's the tenth time since Aug. 12 that Pennsylvania has just missed the jackpot - but snagged a sizeable windfall.
Three tickets won $1 million, because they also had the Power Play multiplier option. The rest, including one from last Saturday's drawing, were $200,000 winners.
Arizona, Connecticut, Florida and Indiana each had a $200,000 winner last night as well.
Powerball is played in 30 states, including Delaware.
Mega Millions. The other major multistate lottery also saw its jackpot rise. The annuity payout is $51 million, $32.3 million cash for Friday night's drawings.
Tuesday's numbers were 29, 30, 32, 35 and 41, with a Mega Ball of 39.
The biggest winner was a single Calfornia ticket, now worth $250,000 for having the first five numbers but not the Mega Ball.
Mega Millions is played in New Jersey and 11 other states.
